Nicholas Gordon is a 2014 SS/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Windermere, FL who attends Olympia HS. Slender athletic build, wiry strength. 6.68 runner, very smooth and polished defensive actions, always under control and balanced, has the athleticism to make the spectacular play and make it look easy, big arm strength, has defensive instincts that can't be taught, special defensive infielder. Left handed hitter, starting to show strength in his swing, big separation, quick hands, has bat speed, sees the ball very well, showed pull and lift power in batting practice, owns the middle of the field with line drives in games, hitting will likely never catch up to his defense but the gap will
steadily close over time. Also pitches, leans back past balance point in delivery, fast arm, fastball to 92 mph, have seen 94 mph in the past, mostly straight, hard curveball spin and sharp bite, throws strikes and has a feel for pitching. Secondary pitcher but could be a top prospect at that position if that was his priority. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida State. Selected to the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
