Juwon flashes the instincts that you would expect to see from the son of a former NFL player. He has a rangy frame with the potential to really grow while still remaining athletic. He is aggressive and plays with a good motor. Shows the ability to read his keys and get a good jump on the ball. He has good change-of-direction skill when playing the run is excellent. He also possesses good football awareness and doesn't get fooled on play-action fakes or draw plays. His long stride also allows him to cover space on the perimeter and chase down ball carriers. He is an effective blitzer due to his quickness and ability to disguise and time it up. There are not many spots on the field that this kid can't make a tackle from. His speed, acceleration and hustle rarely take him out of position to get in on the play. He is best in space where he uses his excellent range in run support. Flashes the vertical speed to control the perimeter on the front-side and the lateral speed to chase down plays from the backside. Shows great acceleration closing on the football; he will explode once he zeroes in on the ball carrier. Effective blitzing off the edge with his speed, bend and athleticism. His instinctive timing, quickness and explosion on his first few steps also make him a weapon blitzing up the middle. Flashes great explosion on contact-- this kid will take ball carriers out of their cleats. If this kid can find the right system that lets him attack and close vertically off the edge, he will make a big an impact at the next level. Juwon will continue to grow, blending great size with his fast-twitched athleticism at defensive.
