What stands out about DJ is his supreme blend of size and speed. He is a sensational athlete with a sleek, lean build though very muscular with skinny ankles -- is built like a wide receiver with natural run skills. A true speed back reminiscent of last year's Lee Chambers. He is an explosive runner capable of going the distance any time he touches the football. Shows good vision, shows good lateral mobility and generally does a good job of exploiting cutback lanes. He is a full speed runner who can attack creases in-line. Will use a stiff arm to get extra yards after contact. Runs downhill hard and is explosive hitting the hole. Can cut away from penetration and make defenders miss in the hole. Is dangerous as an outlet receiver because he is at his best in space. Hands are soft and adjusts and plucks on the run. Has great athletic ability and should develop into a crisp route-runner in time. He has some of the best feet of any skill player in this class, and on defense he plays the high point as opposed to corner to allow him to key the quarterback, roam the field and make plays on the ball. He possesses elite quickness and change-of-direction skills and can get from hash to sideline in a flash. Covers a ton of ground and rapidly reaches top speed. His close on the ball and acceleration is rare. Overall, DJ is explosive and a legit home-run threat. We feel like DJ can play multiple position because of his football I Q. At the next level he has the tools to get on the field early in college career.
