This guy is really good and is one of those rare prospects that combines workhorse qualities with scatback change-of-direction skills. Dejerric is a compact, well-built package with a strong lower body and an aggressive running style. Explodes through the line of scrimmage and will quickly bounce inside runs to the outside. He displays the speed to consistently turn the corner as an outside runner. Is a shifty back with outstanding body control and balance. A slashing type of runner, who is at his best when he gets some momentum in the backfield and can make a quick cut up-the-field. He shows very good vision and patience as a runner. His ability to keep his feet and his lateral agility to make people miss while not gearing down is very impressive. He can spin, pivot, leap and does just about anything he needs to to make people miss-- has an array of moves to say the least. He is also an impressive receiving threat that can split out and is a very good route runner. Has a knack for creating separation versus man coverage. Huge upside in this area. While Dejerric has very good speed, it may be more competitive than it is elite. His feet are excellent and give a speedy appearance to his style. This is a runner that you would have no problem giving 30 carries to yet at the same time he has the explosiveness to provide a homerun threat and he has a knack for creating something out of nothing. Excellent prospect.
